Desktop publishing (DTP)

ความหมายใช้ตัวย่อว่า DTP (อ่านว่า ดีทีพี) หมายถึง การนำภาพและข้อความมาจัดวางไว้ด้วยกันบนจอภาพ ในตำแหน่งที่สวยงาม ดูแล้วสบายตา มักใช้เป็นต้นแบบ (ต้นฉบับที่จะนำไปผลิตต่อ) ของเอกสารสิ่งพิมพ์ อธิบายง่าย ๆ ก็คือ การจัดเตรียมต้นฉบับเอกสารสิ่งพิมพ์โดยใช้เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์แบบตั้งโต๊ะ (desktop computer) แทนที่จะเป็นการ "ตัดปะ" อย่างสมัยก่อน อย่างไรก็ตาม ก็ต้องใช้โปรแกรมช่วย โปรแกรมที่นิยมใช้กันมาก คือ PageMaker และ QuarkXpress การจัดเตรียมเอกสารสิ่งพิมพ์ด้วยวิธีนี้ จะช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่ายได้มากทีเดียว และเป็นที่นิยมมากในปัจจุบัน

หมายถึงกำลังเกิดเหตุการณ์อะไรอยู่แล้วมีเหตุการณ์อื่นเข้ามาแทรกโดยที่
Past Continuous เป็นเหตุการณ์ที่กำลังเกิด และ
Past Simple เป็นเหตุการณ์ที่เข้ามาแทรก

I was eating my cake then I saw Phan.
ฉันกำลังกินเค้กของฉันอยู่ แล้วฉันก็เห็นแป้น
